The Urquiza Railway connects the above-mentioned region with Buenos Aires, Mesopotamia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. To the West, and through the Paraná-Santa Fe tunnel, the region connects with La Pampa. The closest commercial airport is in Paraná, some 50 kilometres away.
The main interest for shipping industry is the grain elevator situated in the port. The elevator, which once belonged to the National Grain Board, was bought by Cargill and now operates as Puerto Diamante SA (Port Diamond SA).
